Gary Lane Anderson, 74, of Norman passed away among loved ones on Monday, June 13, 2016 in St Luke's Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born July 5, 1941 in Camas, Washington to Joseph T. and Cora Froslie Anderson. On August 19, 1966 he married Beverly Roddy.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved boating, fishing, golfing, wood carving, watching hockey, skiing and serving with the ski patrol, traveling to Washington State, Branson, Florida and Belgium. Gary loved listening to classical music especially Andre Rieu, cheering on his Sooners during football games and enjoyed coaching and referring soccer games.

Gary was very passionate and proud to serve McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church in any capacity including driving the choir and youth groups on tours on the charter bus. Above all he loved spending time with his family and playing games. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Jason (Nicoli) Anderson of Conroe, Texas, Eric (Debbie) Anderson of Shalimar, Florida and Wendy Anderson of Norman, grandchildren Janine, Joel and Graham Anderson, siblings: Duane (Sharon) Anderson of Tacoma, Washington and Carol (Duncan) Sturrock of Port Orchard, Washington and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sunday June 19, 2016 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, Oklahoma. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday June 20, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman.
