THE TOMB
Died---Near Fort Sumner, New Mexico, September 10, of inflammation of the stomach, Susan J., wife of William Henry Ewing, aged 69 years.
This is sad news to the many friends of this good old lady in this city. Mrs. Ewing was for a number of years a resident of this city, having removed to this county in the year 1840, from Todd county, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Col Thompson Ewing. She was twice married, her first husband being Geo. Forte. She was married to the husband now bereaved in 1842. She was a sister of Col. Chas. L. Ewing, editor of the Odessa Democrat, and mother of the wife of Mayor C. Ben. Russell, of this city.
