It is understood that the action was instituted in Mobile, Ala. Carol Sperry Bourne, pretty 35-year-old wife of the aged politician, was a social favorite here although she began her career as a clerk for Senator Bourne before they were married. Society gossips took the attitude of "I told you so." Bourne maintains a luxurious apartment here in fashionable Stoneleigh Court. At his offices it was said the former Senator is in Alabama.
