David Ewell Mummert
David was born Jan. 5, 1983, in Henderson, Nev., to John Ewell Mummert and Sharon Lee Burch, where he lived for eight months prior to moving to Lake County with his father. He passed away June 4, 2005, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He graduated from Lower Lake High School in 2002. His trade was carpentry; building homes in the Hidden Valley area. He successfully completed the Lake County Sheriff's Citizens' Academy on June 2.
David is survived by his fiancee, Michelle Davis with whom he shared many happy times; father, John Mummert; grandparents, Verula and Robert Mummert; siblings, Anthony and Karie Wynn; and their mother, Marie Wynn, all of Clearlake. He is also survived by Michelle Davis' parents, Bill and Sandy Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Mike Davis and Angela Parker and their daughter, Kaylei Parker Davis; close friends, Robbie Dye, Jerremy Jerling, Nick Marceleno, John Espinoza, and many more; aunts, uncles and cousins, Carol, Carl, Mason and Jill Wilbur of Lake County; Patti, Charlie and Bill Diener of Lower Lake; Rod, Kathryn and Logan Mummert of Chico; Mike, Vida, Michelle, Christopher and Alex Mummert, Crystal Shiozawa of Vacaville; Robbie, Shawn and Kimberly Renfro, and Sarah Blas Compton of Phoenix, Ariz.; Joe and Kevin Blas of Southern California; Phil and Stacy Mummert, Reno, Nev.; and Brandon Mummert of Lake County.
He is loved by many and will be missed by everyone he touched.
Memorial services to celebrate David's life were held at Saturday, June 11 at the Mormon Church located at 14970 Lakeview Way, Clearlake.
David loved to ride motorcycles, dive for abalone, water ski, snowboard, skateboard and camp. But most of all he loved life and didn't want to miss out on anything.
