DAVID LENHARD
STRICKEN DURING NIGHT, FOUND DEAD ON FLOOR OF ROOM
David Lenhard, Pioneer of County and Former Mishicot Resident, Dies at Home of
Daughter in City
Apoplexy, with which he was stricken sometime during the night caused the death
of David Lenhard, a former Mishicot man, whose dead body was found on the floor
of his room at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Kiel, 617 N. Fourth street,
by members of the family this morning.
Mr. Lenhard appeared in his usual health last night and no member of the family
heard him up or call during the night. It is believed that he may have been
taken ill and was on his way to call his daughter when stricken.
Decedent was 74 years of age, having been born in Germany, November 8, 1812. He
located at Mishicot forty years ago and resided there until the death of his wife
14 years ago, since which time he had made his home with his daughter in this
city. Mr. Lenhard was a tailor and followed this work up until recently.
Three children survive, being Carl Lenhard, of Kewaunee, Mrs. Kiel and Mrs. Karn,
both of this city.
Mr. Lenhard was a German war veteran, and had taken much interest in the titanic
struggle now going on in the old world.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at Mishicot, the services at the home
here being at 11 o’clock.
