Second of eight children born to Henry M. Lipp and Etta Merrill Mosbarger.

Maternal grandparents: Daniel Thomas Mosbarger b. August 8, 1867 and Carrie May Adams b. March 6, 1871.

Paternal grandparents: Alonzo A. Lipp b. May 23, 1857 and Mary Ann Huffman b. July 21, 1869.

Graduated from Franklin High School, Franklin, NE in 1937 and taught in rural schools before her marriage.

Married Clarence George Blank on July 24, 1938 in Macon, Franklin County, Nebraska. At the time of Clarence's death they had been married for 72 years. Children of the union include Shirley Ann, Barbara Elaine, Clarence LeRoy, and Denis Neil.

Attended Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Albuquerque, New Mexico and earned LPN credentials in 1958. She worked in hospitals in New Mexico, Nebraska, and Texas.

Was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Franklin, Nebraska, United Methodist Women, The Quilters, and V.F.W. Post #5757 Women's Auxiliary.

At the time of her death Vera had eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
