He graduated from school 16 and the old Masten Park High School. He left Buffalo in 1925 after working for the old Buffalo Distilling Company. He worked for the F. W. Woolworth Company in Minneapolis and Richmond, retiring four years ago.

He was a member of Harmonie Lodge 699, F & A M.

He married the former Edna Mae Willganz (sic) in Buffalo 38 years ago.
