A resident of the Norman area, Esther Lillian Kraft (Lakin), 84, died on November 5, 2006. Born in Indianapolis, IN on July 6, 1922, she was the daughter of Ray and Lillian Lakin. She moved from Arizona to Oklahoma in October 1998. Esther is the widow of Stanley D. Kraft. She is survived by two sons: Raymond E. Nixon of Arvada, CO and James Kraft of Phoenix, AZ and two daughters: Diana Ritter of Vancouver, WA and Darlene Chaddock of Blanchard, OK. Her surviving siblings include four sisters: Zenal Darling of Noblesville, IN, Ruth Booher of Spencer, IN, Mable Dillon of Amo, IN, Florence Kelm of Carmel, IN and one brother, Jim Lakin of Roachdale, IN. She had 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday November 8, 2006 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
