Mr. Otis Edgar "Ed" Collins of Willow Springs entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 19th, 2016 while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Born on May 10, 1929 in Douglas County, Missouri to Earl and Hester (Boone) Collins. He was 87 years old.

On December 27, 1952 Ed was united in marriage to Flossie Collins in Hardy, AR and to this union three boys were born. Ed worked in the log woods for many years before becoming employed with Arkansas Electric, where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 1997. Ed had a passion for the outdoors and a great love of farming. He found great joy in spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Ed was known by many as a kind, caring and gentle man; those that had the true pleasure of really getting to know him also got to see his stubborn side, of which he has passed down to his many sons, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
