Four Idahoans and a friend visiting from Tacoma, Wash., died in the crash of a light airplane deputies say. The five died Monday night when the single-engine airplane they were riding in slammed into the side of a mountain near Boise and burned. Boise County Deputy Mike Johnson identified the victims as Virgil D. Brown, 53, Boise, the pilot; his three grandsons, Richard Zanassi, 11; Kert Zanassi, 9 and Joseph Zanassi, 7; and a visiting friend of the family, Perry Kennedy, 18, Tacoma, Wash. The Zanassis were sons of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Bowers of Boise.
