CLOVIS, N.M. - Mayme Emily Day, 87, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Muffley Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Duncan officiating, assisted by the Kilgore family. Burial will be in Prater Cemetery in Quay County.

Mrs. Day was born Sept. 9, 1919, to Marcus William and Annie Susan Slagle Baily in Post, Texas. She married Jake Beevers, then later married L.J. Day.

Survivors include a son, Gary D. Beevers of Clovis,; a stepdaughter, Rita Johnson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
