DEATH OF AN OLD NORTH RICHMOND RESIDENT
News reached Sydney this morning of the death of Mr. Charles Allen (one of the oldest, farmers at North Richmond), In his 80th year. Deceased, was born in the district, and his people held farms, in the place upwards of one hundred years ago. He leaves a large family of sons and daughters, many of whom are married into old colonial families. For fifty years the name of Charles Allen was as much a household word in the Richmond and Windsor districts as those of Bowmann; Town, Ducker, Dight, Opus, Ezzy, Skuthorpe, and Eather.
