Victim of the Jonestown massacre. He was left by his parents reporter Timothy Stone and Grace Stone in the custody of the Rev. Jim Jones while his parents returned tot he United States to work on the marital problems. Over time John was brainwashed along with Jones' other followers and was evetually turned against his parents. At one point he even believed Jim Jones was his actual father. He died in the mass suicide initiated by Jim Jones, and was buried in a mass grave in Oakland California. He was six years old.On the Jonestown deathtap he is heard crying saying he didn't want to die as he is being forced to drink the poisioned Kool-Aid.∼He lived in San Francisco, California before he moved to Jonestown, Guyana where he lived in Cottage 03. Son of Grace Lucy Stoen and Timothy Oliver Stoen. Rev. James Warren Jones had a custody battle which resulted in losing John Victor to his biological parents which he refused to do. He claimed that John was his son when he was Tim Stoen's son. Grace and Tim divorced. In the meantime, Rev. Jim Jones had illegal custody of John Victor in Jonestown. He was cared for by Maria Katsaris. Regardless, his birth parents were still fighting and winning in the courts but Jones continuously refused to surrender John Victor to parents. He falsely claimed that he was his father to strengthen the argument. The custody of this six-year old boy was one of the many catalysts toward the event on November 18, 1978. After the tragic event, the Stoens were still unable to retrieve their son's remains.
