He was born August 6, 1955, in Iredell County. Mr. Wooten was a member of Center United Methodist Church. He was employed by Formac Automotive.
Mr. Wooten served on the Center Fire Department Board of Directors. He was very active in scouting for many years and very instrumental in working with the annual Center BBQ for numerous years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Duke Wooten, Sr.; and a sister, Susan Potts.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 24, at Center United Methodist Church, with Rev. John Erwin officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 23, at Eaton Funeral Home.
