A 27 year old shoemaker who lived in Saint Louis Missouri, Private Wendelin Barth was promoted to Corporal and later to Sergeant of Company K. Mustered in 12/4/61 in Philadelphia. He drowned in the Shenandoah River Virginia on a capsized ferry boat which claimed the lives of many company I and K men.5' 7 1/2", light hair, light complexion, and brown eyes.
