Miles Barnes a line man employed by Rock County Telephone, was electrocuted on a live wire while working on top of a telephone pole near Carle's grocery at four o'clock this afternoon. He fell from the top of a pole across a live wire of the electric company and lying across the wires when the ambulance arrived. His body was lowered with ropes to the ground and he was conveyed to the Palmer hospital where Dr. Palmer was called but he died apparently while on the wire. He is though to be the son of Alex. Barnes of this city.
