Michael Ray Bright, 43, of Early, passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, in a Brownwood hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 13, at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Michael was born in Waco, Texas, to William "Bill" and Bonnie (Johnson) Bright. He was a graduate of Connally High School, and loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and rodeo. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oliver Johnson, Raymond Carpenter, and Wilburn and Maureen Grube.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Bright, of Brownwood; daughters, Cheryl Crow, of Waco, and Stephanie Crow, of Valley Mills; sons, Michael Bright and Billy Bright, both of Brownwood; granddaughters, Michaela and Cassie Niemeyer, of West; grandsons, Adam Benett and Cy Lewis, of Valley Mills; parents, Bill and Bonnie Bright, of Chalk Bluff; brothers, Lawrence Bright and wife, Connie, of Chalk Bluff, and James Bright, of Arizona; grandmother, Ruby Carpenter, of Waco; good friends, Brian and Elaine Keith, of Brownwood, and Johnny and Liz Argetsinger, of Waco; and many nieces and nephews.
