Jonathan Ashley Ross, Sr., 85, of 266 Bells Island Road, Currituck, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Ralph Hersey and Dorothy Ashley Ross and was the husband of the late Joan Darwent Ross. Mr. Ross was a member of Pilmoor United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He was a veteran of the United States Army and an engineer.
Mr. Ross is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Cardwell and husband Mike, Kristine Durham and husband Jerry and Pamela Simmons and husband Bill; a son, Jonathan A. Ross, Jr. and wife Beverly; two sisters, Helen Staley and Betty Higgins; a sister-in-law, Bev Shaw; eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
