Drowned at Modesto Reservoir. Age 11, had just graduated sixth grade at Franklin Elementary School in Modesto where he was an A student.

Martin Arzel Antonio Castillo Jr. was born in Modesto, CA on August 23, 2004. Born to parents of Martin Castillo Sr. and Robyn Johnson. Junior graduated a straight A student from Franklin Elementary. He was involved in the Junior Scientist Program and the Future Cities Competition. He played the violin, basketball and football. He loved to sing and dance. He was an extremely bright, loving, caring person, who his fellow peers sought as a hero.
He is preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Marzella Kelly and Guadelupe Firman, as well as his cousin, Javon Kelly. He leaves behind his parents, Martin Castillo Sr. and Robyn Johnson, two siblings, Kelis Castillo and Carmello Castillo, grandparents, Kimberly Kelly, Angel Castillo and Ofelia Castillo, Aunts Brittney Lee, Inari Johnson, Yazmine Allen, Diana Gomez, Miriam Castillo, Uncle Daniel Castillo and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral Services for Martin (Jr) will be held at The House Modesto, 1601 Coffee Rd., Modesto, CA at 11am on Friday, July 1, 2016. Burial to follow service at Lakewood Memorial Park. Funeral services entrusted to Evins Funeral Home Modesto.
