Clyde was a member of the LDS Church and worked in the MIA when his children were young and he held positions in the Sunday School and Bishopric. He served as Town Mayor of Torrey in the mid 1940's.
For many years, Clyde served as President and a board member for the Torrey Canal and Sand Creek Irrigation Companies. He was a farmer, cattleman and general contractor. Working was his hobby. He never lost his love for the out-of-doors. He enjoyed hunting and was an excellent marksman with his 30-30 rifle. He enjoyed being around and spending time with his family. His family was his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye, of Torrey; children: Roger Behunin of St. George; Lois and Gerry Hoddenbach of Torrey; grandchildren: Darry R. Behunin, deceased; David W. Behunin, Michelle B. Chappell, Donald C. Behunin, Sean M. Iverson, Kevin D. Iverson, Brenda Faye Evans and Erik G. Iverson ; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Veda Behunin of Boulder, UT. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Pearl Taylor, Nila Brinkerhoff and Max Behunin. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Torrey Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
