Helen Virginia Baker, 91, of Rushville died at 4:02 p.m. June 25, 2016, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born March 26, 1925, in Bainbridge Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of John Henry and Hildreth Simpson Orr. She married Lyle Baker on Nov. 20, 1943, in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2008.

She also was preceded in death by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bobby Orr, Stanley Orr and John H. Orr; and one sister, Marilyn L. Parsons.

Surviving are four sons, Allen (and Barbara) Baker of Camden, David E. (and Carol) Baker of Good Hope, Larry Baker of Rushville and Marvin L. (and Jean) Baker of Bowen; two daughters, Karen Libby of Streator and Carol (and Marty) Trinkle of Rushville; one brother, Charles T. (and Sandy) Orr of Rockford; one sister, Betty M. (and Ron) Shores of Lawrence, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker all of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Aaron Baker and Rev. Terry Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Rushville Assembly of God Church.
