Elaine M. Schwake, age 84, formerly of 706 23rd Street, Two Rivers, currently a resident of Kindred-North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, January 16, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Elaine was born September 14, 1929, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Schepper) Kotarek. On September 24, 1949, she married Charles F. Schwake at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers.
He preceded her in death on October 15, 2004. Elaine was employed as a nurses aid at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. She loved going to the cottage at Baileys Harbor with Charlie, knitting and crocheting items for family and friends, spending time with Tom at the M&M Lunch, spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially visits from her son Tom and his dog "Ty", daughter Kay and Mike and sharing stories about her cats: "PO", "Brett", "C.C." and her newest addition "Skeeter." Elaine also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas and Darlene Schwake, Two Rivers, Jerry and Linda Schwake, Wetmore, MI; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kay and Mike Hicks, Manitowoc; Sue and Chuck Rozmarynoski, Highlands Ranch, CO; five grandchildren:, special grandson, Jeff Franz (special friend Elizabeth Brady), Edgerton, WI; Brandon Schwake, Two Rivers, Kristin Schwake, Harrison Township, MI; Kaley Rozmarynoski (Jay Dunlap), Aurora, CO; Ryan Rozmarynoski, Highlands Ranch, CO; one great grandson, Jacob; two step grandchildren: Kati (Scott) Adams, Williamston, MI; Shannan (John) Davis, Little Chute; four step great grandchildren: Aerwyn, Jessey, Rhedyn, Andrew; one brother and sister-in-law: Walter "Sonny" and Shirley Kotarek, Green Bay; two nieces and nephews: Bruce (Melissa) Kotarek, Karen (Bruce) Key, all of Green Bay; Mark (Lisa) Kotarek, Appleton, Kelly (Chris) Medenwaldt, Brodhead, WI.
She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Anna Schwake.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, January 20, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
