Richard Wayne "Babe" Hukill, 68, of Brownsville entered into eternal rest on Sept. 28, 2006, at Sunshine Haven in Olmito.

Richard was born on May 13, 1938, in N. Vernon, Ind., to Marlin and Norma Hukill. He was employed with the Public Utilities Board for 28 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Gracie Hukill of Brownsville; his children David Hukill, Connie Upjohn (Robert) and Cathy Brown (Rob), all of Indiana; his stepchildren, Pet Blanco Jr. (Angie), Al Blanco (Annette), John Joe Blanco (Gracie), Jesse Blanco (Hilda) and Terry Blanco (Victor); a brother, Bud Hukill (Lila) of Indiana; a sister, Carol Hukill of Chicago; 14 grand-children and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, in the Darling-Mouser Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, in the Darling-Mouser Chapel with Deacon Paul McArdle officiating. Burial will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
