DEKALB—Luther W. Alford, 86, of Dekalb, died Dec. 20, 1993, at Jeff Anderson Memorial Hospital in Meridian [Lauderdale Co.].
Visitation is 4:30-9 tonight at Catchings Funeral Home of McComb and ... from 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Magnolia until services there at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Alford was born Jan. 1, 1907, in Magnolia. He was the son of the late Albert A. Alford and Lynnie Berryhill Alford.
He was a retired oil company representative and a member of First Baptist Church of Magnolia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lura W. Alford; and his second wife, Grace F. Alford.
He is survived by three children from his first marriage, Howard W. Alford of McComb, George A. Alford of Jackson, and Norma Hodges of Meridian; and one daughter from his second marriage, Lucy Dean Hull of Dekalb; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
