COUPLE WED AT IROQU0IS SUNDAY
IROQU0IS - George Floyd Bell and Anna Rose Hatcher, both of Huron, were united in marriage at the home of Mrs. H. Tervilliger at 1 p.m. Sunday, Rev. E. Vernon officiated. Mr and Mrs. Leopold Buzeyn of Iroquios accompanied them. Mr. Bell is a brother of Mrs. Buzeyn.

The couple expect to make their home in Huron where Mr. Bell is working.

PEDESTRIAN DIES WHEN HIT BY CAR

George Floyd Bell, 29, of Huron, Killed While Walking Home From Dance

Huron, Aug 16. (AP)
Beadle county authorities today were continuing an Investigation of a highway mishap which resulted in the death of George Floyd Bell. 29, a resident of Morningside addition, Huron, early Sunday morning.

Bell was killed instantly when struck by an automobile driven by Donald Newton. 17-year-old Huron youth, on federal highway 14 two miles east of Huron. The fatality occurred about 12:45 a. m. when Bell and his wife were walking into Huron after attending a dance at a pavilion a short distance from where the accident took place. In reporting the incident to police, Newton said that in turning out to pass a truck from the rear he did not notice the Bells.

Bell was thrown about 15 feet by the impact. His wife escaped with minor bruises.

In 1929, George F. , was charged with and convicted of grand larceny. He can be found listed as a inmate in the 1930 census. He would serve 3 of the 4 year sentence and was paroled by the governor in 1932. Both his younger brother James M and his father James E were also convicted of grand larceny (a different crime) and were sentenced to four year terms at the South Dakota prison at Sioux Falls - both listed in the 1930 census as prison inmates as well.
