Funeral Services Here Saturday for Dr. R. R. Beeghly
Former Ord Man Died at Age of 37 in Mitchell, S.D.

Brief committal rites, with Rev. Thomas Siudowski and the Hastings-Pearson Mortuary in charge, were held at the Ord cemetery at 5:00 Saturday for Dr. Reginald R. Beeghly, who died in a hospital at Mitchell, S.D., on Febr. 6 after a long illness. That morning funeral services were held at Kimball, S.D., where he had practiced his profession for the past six years.
Dr. Beeghly was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Beeghly, now of Abilene, Kans., and his boyhood was spent in Ord, while his father was head miller at the Collison mill. He was born on May 24, 1912, graduated from Ord High school in 1928 and from Kirksville, Mo., College of Osteopathy in 1938. For six years he practiced his profession in Winner, S.D., and then moved to the near by city of Kimball, where he lived until his final illness and death.
He is mourned by his wife, the former Ellen Andersen of Ord; by his parents; 3 sisters; and a brother, Lynn Beeghly, of Parma, Ida., all of whom were in Ord Saturday to be present at his interment.
Dr. Beeghly will be remembered in the South Dakota communities where he practiced his profession as a doctor of the highest integrity, charitable to a fault, willing to sacrifice his own health to help those in pain and distress. His patients there, and their numbers are legion, know that he shortened his own life to help them, and his death was a great shock to those whom he served.
