On the 9 Jun 1880 Riverheads District, Augusta Co., Virginia census, I found farmer Nimrod Greene, 52; other Greenes: wife Amanda V, 44; daughters or son: Mary A, 13; Sarah L, 12; Caladonia, 9; Elizabeth, 7 and Milten E, 3 plus AUNT Elizabeth Hill (sic), 66 and Brother A A GREENE, 51 with a spinal disease, all Virginia born.
"From Greenville. DEATHS OF WELL KNOWN RESIDENTS— THREE ON ADJOINING FARMS. Greenville, June 13lh.—Death has been quite busy in the last two weeks, first claiming Mr. A. A. Green of Lofton, aged 70, on Tuesday week..." Published in the Staunton Vindicator, Vol 49, #24, dated 15 June 1894.
