Dane Taylor Albaugh, 69, of Parker, Colorado, surrounded by his family moved forward in his journey on May 30, 2016, Memorial Day.

Dane was born in Los Angeles, California on July 29th, 1946 to Willis Albaugh (Iowa) and Twyla Pointer Albaugh (Iowa) to a family of five. His brother Terry (wife, Sandy), his sister Lonna (husband, Harold), his brother Randal (wife, Gloria) and his brother, Gaylen.

Dane graduated from Narbonne High School in 1964. (However, he was famous for telling everyone that he only made it to the 4th grade).

Dane married Pamela Dierks on May 28, 1966 in Torrance, California and recently celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss.

Dane was drafted in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged after his service in the Vietnam War.

Dane has five beautiful children from this blessed union with Pam. Strapping sons, David Albaugh (wife, Linda) of Parker and Greg Albaugh (wife, Marilu) of Aurora; three stunning daughters, Anna Albaugh Garza (husband, Gabe) of Parker, Sarah Albaugh Taylor (husband, Luke) of Elizabeth and Hannah Albaugh also of Parker.

Dane and Pam lived in Southern California for most of their lives where Dane worked in residential construction.

In 1992, Dane and Pam moved their family to Colorado. Dane started his own construction company with his two sons, David and Greg, called ABA Construction. He was successful in his new endeavor , building custom homes from Winter Park to Elizabeth.

Dane spent his spare time attending sporting and academic events with his 16 grandchildren including football, baseball, wrestling and talent shows. His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Gavin, Jacob, Clayton, Brittany, Victoria, Isabella, Jack, Sophia, Dane, Maisy, Caleb, Brock, Hayden, Elijah, Jobe and Joshua.

Dane enjoyed gardening, riding his lawn mower, making homemade salsa, pickled eggs, dill pickles, jalapeno jelly, having cookouts, holiday dinners, the Denver Broncos, Candy Crush and Facebook. He had a great sense of humor and told many stories that were hard to believe but always brought a smile to the faces of his family and friends. He loved a good political debate and wanted to make America great again!

So tonight, please raise your glasses high and toast, "To the Queen" in honor of Dane Taylor Albaugh.

He was a member of Ave Maria Catholic Church in Parker, Colorado.
