Joe my dog got ran over on Campbellton Rd and killed on the night of July 4 in the late 1940's.
July 5th was my mom's birthday and my brother found Joe the next morning on the sidewalk beside the road.
We lived 100 yards from Campbellton Rd. and had Joe in a fenced back yard but the fireworks scared him and he somehow escaped the fence.
This photo was taken to school when I was in kindergarten. The teacher had us bring a photo of us and our pets and they put the photos on a bulletin board in the hall by the front door.
The reason the photo is wrinkled is that I had to carry it to school and back home riding on the back of my brothers bike.
