Springville – Virginia Phillips-Baker, 73, of Springville, died at 5:45 pm on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Westview Nursing & Rehab. in Bedford.
Born March 18, 1943 in Columbia, MS, she was the daughter of Jane Robinson. She married William Phillips and he preceded her in death. She later married Robert Baker and he also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springville Grace Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Jerome Hettle and wife, Debbie, of Bedford, Wesley Phillips and wife, Tina, of Springville, Lisa Hillenburg and husband, Robin, of Heltonville, Greg Baker and wife, Kathy, of Springville, Teresa Picou and husband, Lee, of Springville; her companion pet, Laci Lou; her grandchildren, Carla Hettle and fiancé, Matt Roberts, Daniel Phillips, Darren Phillips and wife, Danika, Chad Hillenburg and wife, Katrina, Dawn Harris, Aaron Baker, Daniel Baker, Robin Parker and husband, Dustin, and John Picou; great grandchildren, Emmalynn Harris, William Phillips, Hanah Parker, Reid Parker and Meryssa Meadows. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and a grandson, Colin Crose.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Alan Phillips, Rev. Bob Phillips, and a grandson, Chad Hillenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, July 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
