GLADYS NEJEDLO

Gladys Mary Nejedlo, age 87, of 512 Church St., Mishicot, entered into eternal
life Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Gladys was born Sept. 16, 1921, in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, to the
late Emil Sr. and Carrie Soucoup Schleis. She married Daniel J. Nejedlo on
April 20, 1944, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilsen. Gladys worked as a
beautician for more than 25 years. She earned her operator/manager's license at
the Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture and worked at beauty salons in Manitowoc
and Mishicot.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot and of the Altar
Society of the church. She also was a charter member of the Kempen-Staudinger-
Terens Post No. 7753 VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to
Europe, Hawaii and many other states. She loved spending time with her grand-
children and great-grandchildren and baking treats for them.

In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by an infant daughter;
a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Jim Anderle; her father-in-law and mother-
in-law, Wencil (Jim) And Mary Nejedlo; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Mike and Virgil Nejedlo, Jim and Verna Nejedlo, William and Mayme Nejedlo, Richard
and Lucille Nejedlo, George and Frances Stahl and Joseph and Irene Beirl.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Holy
Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, with the Rev. Paul Paider officiating, with burial
to follow in the Holy Cross Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after
9 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be
no Tuesday evening visitation.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Nejedlo family with
funeral arrangements.
