She married Andrew Achtymichuk on February 16, 1911 and they lived on their farm overlooking Limestone Lake just west of Andrew. There she and Andrew raised twelve children. They retired from farming and moved to Edmonton in 1952.
Maria was laid to rest on 12 Feb 1979.
