Mrs. Pivonka was born February 23, 1893 at Bay Settlement, Brown County, daughter of the late Desire and Joanna Smit Gerard. She married James Pivonka on June 23, 1914. Mr. Pivonka was a self-employed Black Smith. Mrs. Pivonka was a member of Holy Cross Catholic church, an honorary member and past officer of the Altar Society and a member and past officer of the Catholic Knights.
Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Gordon and Jan Pivonka of LaHabra, California; a daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Nathan James of Dennison, Texas; five grandchildren; a great granddaughter and a special friend, Julie Bergner. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 14, 1968; four sisters and five brothers.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 5 pm to 8 pm Monday. A parish memorial service combined with the Altar Society Rosary will be held at 7 pm Monday.
