Floyd Eugene Kirkendall was born on December 6th, 1926, in Albia, Iowa. He attended school there and was raised in the Methodist faith. He served proudly in the United States Army in WWII. Surviving are his sisters Julia E. Davis in Oneida, IL, Catherine Spracklin in Midwest City, OK and Betty Allen in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Kirkendall, 78, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Albia, passed away peacefully at 1:05 a.m. Sunday morning, June 26th, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines. Surviving are his sisters Julia E. Davis in Oneida, IL, Catherine Spracklin in Midwest City, OK and Betty Allen in Dallas, Texas.
In death he has rejoined his parents.
