Elizabeth Carolyn Turner age 82 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Turner was born January 7, 1934 in Limestone County, AL to Roland Cleveland Smith and Patty Leonard Smith.

Services will be Friday, July 8, 2016 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bud White officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery.

Preceded in death by her parents, Roland Cleveland and Patty Smith; three brothers, Billy, Harold and Robert Smith; sister, Mary Ann Allen.

Survived by her husband, Bobby Turner of Athens; two sons, Tim Turner and wife, Danie of Tallahassee, FL and Scott Turner of West Hills, CA; three grandchildren, Jordan Turner, Carlin Rasky and Miranda Rasky all of Tallahassee, FL; three sisters, Dorothy Blackburn and husband, David, Marjorie Rose both of Athens and Jo Lively of Decatur, AL; one brother, Kenneth Smith and wife, Peggy of Athens; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were Carolyn’s passion and delight. She loved taking care of her beautiful flowers, camping and spending time with her family in the Great Smoky Mountains.
