Benjamin "Ed" Polk -WARNER ROBINS - Benjamin "Ed" Polk, 72, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. -Mr. Polk was born on January 15, 1938 in Sandersville, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army. He was owner of Polk Realty from 1978 to 1980 and a past president of Warner Robins American Little League from 1980 to 1983. After selling cars at Eddie Wiggins Ford and Charlie Pike Chevrolet, he became a self-employed life insurance agent. His brothers, Frank and Bill Polk, and parents, Josiah I. Polk and Sara Jenkins Polk, preceded him in death. -His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Barbara Polk; daughters, Charlotte Little (Gary), Buford, and Terri Gruenenfelder (Doug), Gainesville; son, Benjamin H. Polk, Warner Robins; brothers, Joe Polk, Douglas, and Dan Polk, Brunson, South Carolina; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. -Visitation will be Saturday, September 11, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
