Mrs. Rose M. Prokash, 85, former resident of Mishicot and Rockwood, who currently
resided at Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Monday afternoon, October 1, at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mishicot.
The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate with burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Mrs. Prokash, nee Rose M. Arpin, was born March 22, 1899, in Luxemburg, Wisconsin,
daughter of the late Alfred and Kate Kieweg Arpin. She married Joseph Prokash on
December 23, 1921, at Menominee, Michigan. He preceded her in death October 1, 1962.
Mrs. Prokash had been employed as a school teacher in the Luxemburg area and later
as a night supervisor at Shady Lane Home of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by two brothers, Leslie and Alva.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening
and Thursday at the church from 12 noon until the time of service.
