Mr. Puta was born November 25, 1918 in the Town of Mishicot, son of the late Edward and Josephine Enlinger Puta. He married Gertrude Novak, September 4, 1943. Mr. Puta was employed as a Draftsman for Stoelting and an Instructor for Lakeshore Technical Institute and was then employed at Fox Hills until retiring. He was a member of Mancorad Radio Club, ARRL of America, American Society of Engineers and was a former Deputy of Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department for over 25 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Rhonda Puta of Mishicot and Joseph and Marjorie Puta of Manitowoc; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruth and Leon Nielsen of Newton, Janice Puta of Fond du Lac, Diane Fay Puta of Brown Deer and Catherine and Timothy Mocarski of Racine; a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Frederick Eisenmann of Mishicot and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 5 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, where a prayer service will be 7 pm by Rev. Don Stanz. Memorials can be given to Mission of Jesus Christ Church.
