Rayola attended Fairview Public Schools where she excelled in academics and singing. After graduating in 1941, Rayola attended Enid Business College where she finished a 2-year program in 6 months.
Rayola married Phillip L. Tinsley in 1943. From this union were born two daughters, Janice Tinsley-Marshall (T-M) of Fairview and Beverly Iliff of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Clarence Roads in 1972 and he died in 1979.
Living in Enid, Rayola worked as a legal secretary for 35 years. After retiring, she returned to her hometown of Fairview and attended NWOSU. Her interests included caring for and helping others in need, reading, and churchwork. She was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Enid and the First United Methodist Church in Fairview.
She is predeceased by her parents, three brothers; Charles Wilbur Gaunt (Texas), Joseph Edward Gaunt (California), Leonard Doyle Gaunt (Nevada), and one sister, Emma Laverne Hubble of Fairview, OK.
Surviving are her two daughters, Jan T-M and Beverly and her husband, Robert D. Iliff, Jr. Rayola is also survived by a nephew , Kenneth Lee and his wife, Waynette, Gaunt of California.
The funeral will be held at the Fairview First United Methodist Church on Friday, July 8, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Rich Redinger officiating. A private family gathering will be held at the Fairview Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairview with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
