Max Atkinson, 78, of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Born in Lego, West Virginia, he was a life-long resident of Howell. Max was employed as a supervisor at NJ American Water Company for 30 years before his retirement in 1999. He was a member of multiple bowling leagues at Howell Bowling Lanes and once bowled a perfect 300 game. He was an avid New York Giants and Cincinnati Reds fan.

Max was predeceased by his Parents, John and Murtle Atkinson; his Wife, Patricia Atkinson; and his Sister, Delma Perkins. He is survived by his Sons, Ronald and Kathleen Atkinson of Howell, NJ, and Thomas Atkinson and Patricia Furey of Wrightstown, NJ; his Grandchildren, Caitlyn Ann Casey, Amanda Atkinson, Christine Atkinson Swerdlow, and Danielle Atkinson; his Great grandchildren, Lily Atkinson, Tahlia Atkinson, and Landon Swerdlow; his Brothers, Arnold and Ann Atkinson, Johnny and Dot Atkinson, and Damon Atkinson, all of PA; his Sisters, Dot Mallard, Relda Pond, and Sylvia Atkinson, all of PA; his Brother-in-law, Charles Perkins of PA; and his many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at his Funeral Service at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd., Toms River, NJ.
