They are survived by three children: Karen (Richard) Kraft of Benton, Ark., Teresa (John) Schnellmann of Chesterfield, Mo., and Frederick Fendley Ward of Mabelvale, Ark.; five grandchildren: Lisa (Glen) Selligman, Kevin Kraft (Nicole); Anita (Mathew) Sims; Devin Ward (Rachel), Jerrod Ward (Miyuki), and their mother Rhonda Ward; seven great-grandchildren, Chase, Katelynn, Galen, Lillian, Jake, Lucy and Henley; and cousin Mary Ellen Wade.
Mary Lou was born March 7, 1927, in Marshall, Ark., to Una Mae Redman Fendley and William Guy Fendley. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Guy Fendley Jr. of Virginia. Mary Lou graduated from Little Rock Junior College. After raising three children, she founded Central Arkansas Realty.
She enjoyed dancing, traveling, reading and sewing. In her 80's, she returned to her early passion for painting. She was lovingly known by her grandchildren as "Go Go Granny" for her energetic lifestyle and optimistic view on life.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., April 29, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, followed by burial at St. Mark's Garden. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home.
