Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and after 11:30 AM on Monday at the church. The Christian Women will pray at 4:00 PM, and Parish prayers will be at 4:30PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Genevieve was born in Silver Lake on February 5, 1921, to Anthony and Josephine (Jelinek) Zrust. She graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1938, and the Minneapolis Business College. Genevieve moved to St. Cloud in 1945 and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a secretary for 30 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, and the Christian Women. Genevieve enjoyed the Flower and Garden Club and the Investment Club at the Whitney Senior Center. She was member of the Eastside VFW Auxiliary and the Eagles. Genevieve volunteered for several years at Talahi Care Center. She belonged to several card groups and a Birthday club made up of many longtime friends. Genevieve was an artist with a special interest in Bavarian Folk Art. Of all her interests and activities, Genevieve cared most for her family.
Genevieve is survived by her children: Susan (David) Moore of Aurora, CO., Douglas (Judy) of Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Thomas in 1948, brother Arnold and sister Margaret Zrust.
