This accident occurred the night of January 12, 1901. Tottens Crossing was a railroad intersection near present day Conesus Springwater Road (Route 15) and Liberty Pole Road. Its not far from this cemetery. It was likely obscure at the time and was about a mile away from well known Webster's Crossing. The RR tracks are now long gone.
