He married Emma Ellen Rountree February 9, 1921 in Cherokee County, ALabama.
They had the following children: Frances Evelyn, Robert W., Jacqualine Elizabeth and Elbert Leroy Westbrook, Jr.

PIEDMONT -- Albert Leroy Westbrook, 64, of Gadsden, Rt. 7, died Sunday at the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital.
Funeral services will be at Campground Methodist Church, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W. Ernest Teek
officiating. Burial will be at Carmel Cemetery in Gadsden with Gray Brown-Service of Piedmont directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Westbrook, two daughters, Mrs. Frances Jenkins of Weaver and Mrs. Jack Knighton of Miami, Fla; two sons, Robert W. of Fort Bragg, N.C. and E.L. Westbrook, Jr. of Great Lakes Mich.; five brothers, Lester of Spring Garden; J.D. of Centre; and Jim, Norris and Hershel Westbrook, all of Detroit, Mich.; one sister; Mrs. Lena Stewart, of Spring Garden: and five grandchildren.
The nephews of Mr. Westbrook will act as pallbearers.
Mr. Westbrook, formerly of Cherokee County, had lived in Gadsden for the past two years. He was a member of Campground Methodist Church.
The body will be at Gray Brown-Service Chapel in Piedmont until an hour before funeral services, when it will be taken to the church.
