Lois, born April 26, 1941 in Merced, California to Lon A. Clark and Allie Wilkerson, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She attended school in Newton, Texas and graduated from Grand Falls, Texas in 1960. On December 20, 1959, she married Alvin R. Adams and made their home in Grand Falls, Texas. Until 1964, they ran Adams Mercantile then moved to Canyon, Texas where Al attended West Texas State University. After a 1971 move to Weatherford, Oklahoma, Lois worked in Dr. Hale’s office and eventually their cabinet business, Adams Wood Products. Lois and Al worked side by side until retirement in 2010. Lois enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and was active in the Weatherford Sorosis Club.
Lois is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alvin Adams of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; two daughters, Laura Jean Scalf and husband, David, of Norman, Oklahoma, and Sue Allison Willson and husband, Dan, of Elk City, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Eric Adams and wife, Marnie, of Harrogate, United Kingdom; two sisters, Dorothy Parker and Jewel Neugent; one brother, Johnnie Clark; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
