Clarence was the son of Heinrich J. "Henry" Graves (1882 NE - 1968 CO) and Sarah Penner (1882 NE - 1945 CA). He was born in Corn, Oklahoma and died in Fresno, California.

Clarence married Franziska Wilma Grom while stationed in Germany. She is buried at Clovis Cemetery in Clovis, California.

He and Wilma were our neighbors for 15 years and we always knew him as Clarence, but he was also known to some as "Bill."

Clarence was a career soldier and a Veteran of the Korean War.
