James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, raising a garden, telling jokes and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Melvin Willis and his sister Charlotte Clark.
He is survived by his wife Oraetta Harlan Willis, his children Carolyn Lackey and her husband Leon of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Pam Tanner and her husband Glenn of Kentucky, Paula Williams and her husband Eddie of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Roy D. Willis of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Diane Lamb and her husband Bo of Searcy, Arkansas, Charles Ray Reeb and his wife Susie of Conway, Arkansas, Dee Reeb of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Karen Sue Willis of Heber Springs, Arkansas, his brother-in-law Wenzell Clark, his sisters Edna D. Boucher and her husband Floyd and Linda Howell and her husband Lannie, his brothers Sidney Willis and his wife Violet, Buddy Willis and his wife Betty and Ronald Willis and his wife Sherry, 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Willis is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Olmstead Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm with Bro. Brad Curtis and Bro. Bennie Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Everett Cemetery.
