Plus in Southern Historical Magazine: Devoted to History, Genealogy ..., 1892, Vol. 1, p 244-247, edited by Virgil Anson Lewis lists his and Ann's 10 children (starting with Susan in 1822) and family. Page 244 says John's first wife Mary had one son, William Madison Peyton of Roanoke.
Today, Madisonville is instead in Charlotte County, Virginia.
