Evelyn E. Gauthier, age 95, formerly of Two Rivers, currently a resident of St Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, April 17, 2013, at the home.

Evelyn was born July 18, 1917, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Skarda) Graycarek. She graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1936. On September 28, 1940, she married Norman A. Gauthier at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1989. She was employed at Paragon Electric Company. Evelyn was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (now St. Peter the Fisherman) and the Ladies of Holy Redeemer, a member of the Veteran's Auxiliary and the Two Rivers Senior Center. She did volunteer work at the Washington House and Point Beach State Park. She was a member of the Happy Hoppers Club. Her favorite pastimes were dancing, gardening, and traveling.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Marlene and Paul Grinde, Antigo; one granddaughter and her husband: Jill and Jim Benware, San Tan Valley, AZ; three great grandchildren: Colin, Ella, and Haley Benware. One niece, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Alice and Henry Nehls, Gladys and Wallace Welk; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Eleanor and Clarence Wessely; and a niece, Karen Wilhelm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday April 27, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
