Obituary for Henrietta B. Holmes--unknown newspaper--Larned--Henrietta B. Holme, 69, Larned, formerly of Admire, died Sunday, March 14, 1993, at a Larned medical center.
She was born Feb. 11, 1924, near Admire, the daughter of James Thomas and Elnora Mae Goldsmith Parks. She lived in Larned since 1971.
Mrs. Holmes was a member of the Christian Church in Plains.
She was married to Richard E. Holmes May 31, 1945, in Great Bend. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Kristine Holmes and Kathy Holmes, both of Topeak, and Belinda Holmes Egger, Kansas City, MO; two sons, Thomas Holmes, Larned, and Dan Holmes, Wichita; a sister, Louise Woods, Ulysses; five brothers, E. W. "Pat" Parks and Marvin Parks, both of Hoisington, Leonard Parks, Ellsworth, Kenneth Parks, Holyrood, and Robert Parks, Topeka; and three grandchildren.
Private services will follow cremation. Morell Funeral Home in Larned is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Diabetes Association.
